One of the simplest changes I made in my kitchen was replacing my larger garbage and recycling bins with a smaller recycler. Smaller bags are lighter to remove and carry, allowing me to stay in a more neutral position and reducing the strain of lifting a full bag.
This won't be the right choice for everyone, but it has made this everyday task feel much more manageable for me.
